I’ve dreamt of this neighborhood several times now. On the far westside of downtown is a neighborhood that sits east of the Chickamauga (Chicka) River.
It is a very poor area and has a high crime rate. There’s even a myth of a serial killer who stalks the acute triangle shaped grass field located in the North West area of the neighborhood.
Below is a map that I created of East Chicka. The apartment buildings on the two northern streets are two stories tall and are a dirty, tan color. All of the houses and shops located in this area are of the same dirty, tan color. It’s a very depressed area.
Though labeled on the map, the street east of the neighborhood is the busy roadway Chickamauga Ave. Running allow the west side of the street sits shops and restaurants. I’m not 100% sure, but there may be houses rather than businesses on the street’s opposite side.
The houses located near the river are all two story, located on a slight hill. A lot of them have been converted into apartments, and some of those have become flophouse-eques.
I’ve near actually dreamt of the Chicka River while in this neighborhood as it is located past a thin forest of thick trees that run down a bank towards the river.
I’ve only been in this area in the late evening or night.
